Our History and Technological Roots
How Proven Sales and Marketing Technologies Can Create Better Knowledge about Patients and DiseasesIn 2012, Sentrana participated in the DREAM Phil Bowen ALS Prediction Prize4Life Challenge sponsored by Prize4Life, a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of accelerating the discovery of treatments and a cure for ALS. The objective of participants in this challenge was to develop a disease progression algorithm for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Among 1,073 participants in the competition, Sentrana was awarded a first-place award for its disease progression model and was singled-out for its success at predicting individual patients.
The Prize4Life Challenge was Sentrana’s first market demonstration of transferring its technologies to life sciences and healthcare. In 2013, following their success in the Prize4Life Challenge, Sentrana launched Origent as a separate company, with an exclusive license in Sentrana’s present and future software and technologies, and dedicated to supporting the healthcare and life sciences industry. Rather that predicting economic behavior of individual customers, Origent has deployed Sentrana’s core technologies to predict disease behavior of individual patients.
Our license with Sentrana gives us unparalleled infrastructure, methods, and expertise for building and operationalizing predictive models. And our ongoing relationship with Sentrana provides Origent with a constant influx of new and emerging technologies. We make these new technologies immediately available to our customers.
